The spiraling bands that we see on the façade, are the reflection of a system of lightwells that is meant to bring light, ventilation and spatial quality into the towers working spaces. These bands are glazed with simple operable and fixed double glazed panels. The glass is tinted to control the penetration of solar radiation. It was also calculated that up to 40% of the year the mechanical ventilation systems can be shut off and reduce not just energy consumption but Carbon dioxide emissions. The building will also use exhaust air circulating between the double-glazing as cushion to reduce the amount of solar radiation reaching the office space. >>> |
