The Jewish Museum, opened on the 24th of January this year, is central to Berlin's 'critical reconstruction' as a capital city and has been described as a truly extraordinary building. Constantly featured in both the architecture and mainstream press, Daniel Libeskind has been has been hailed as the 'man of the moment' and 'one of the great avant-garde architects of our time.' This unique publication is the first yet to be published on the completed Jewish Museum, or indeed any of Libeskind's built works to date.
The book includes a foreword by Michael Blumenthal, director of the Museum, an essay by Helmuth F. Braun, curator, and over 60 pages of photographs by the highly acclaimed architectural photographer Hlne Binet.
